Yadda Yadda Whoop Whoop!
So I noticed a little water damage…

Water Damage (area shown approx 2 inches)
… in my ceiling this morning. Located directly beneath the upstairs bath, the conclusion is pretty simple and I cross my fingers hoping it not to be too traumatic. If I had a dime for every time something weird happens I’d be a millionaire in sterling currency. Here is the water damage (left) so after reading the Reader’s Digest DIY Manual that my father-in-law gave me, along with a few websites, I decided it was time to investigate this further.
Armed with a punch saw and my recently gained knowledge, I poked a hole into the ceiling.
Water poured out.
Dammit, I should have read and APPLIED what I read regarding getting a bucket first. I ran around like a headless chicken and using my an inverted stool my son uses to clean his teeth I was able to catch most of the water while I emptied the garbage from the kitchen and used that to catch the remaining water that came out. Quickly the dripping water came to a stop and I felt I was ready to poke a second, small hole. More water but right into the bucket this time. Score.

Great piece of music and some decent editing. Two thumbs up from me.
Pirates pwn Cowboys
In the 2 days leading up to halloween, 40 of the hits on the site from search engines google and bing (really? you use that microsoft crap?) were searches on how to make your own costumes. 23 were for pirate outfits, 12 were for cowboys and 5 were for FBI costumes.
I lol’d. This relates to data from several years ago we carried on Le Portal. The thing is, after sifting through the images data-mined (results below) I can’t help but wonder why the heck the FBI had the fewest hits. I don’t care what your taste or orientation is, there is no way the pirate or cowboy is something you’d want to check out, dress up as or even remotely fantasize about! Cowrate and Piboys after the break. /shiver

The Quiet and The Restless
So last month was a little slow on everything virtual – tweets, social networking, gaming, blogging – and with fairly good reason. Some pretty hefty health issues (not H1N1 or anything thankfully) took me out for the best part of the month. Things have jingle-jangled back into place though and the outlook is just peachy.
My To-Do List! :)
